Workplace Stress: When Your Job Exhausts You, Therapy Can Rebuild You!

Professional Stress: A Silent Ailment That Impacts Body and Mind

For over 30 years, as a therapist specialising in holistic approaches to well-being, I have been supporting professionals from sectors heavily exposed to stress: catering, transport, healthcare, education… The recent study by Elithair, revealing the most stressful jobs of 2025, confirms what I observe daily in my practice: chronic stress that manifests both psychologically and physically – insomnia, hair loss, digestive disorders, burnout…

When stress becomes the norm, it profoundly disrupts our energetic balance. This is where my practices come into their own: hypnotherapy to release emotional tensions, energy healing to realign vital centres, naturopathic support to strengthen the nervous system, akashic record readings to release deep-rooted causes, and much more.

Within my practice, each session is personalised. A nurse exhausted by night shifts, a teacher at breaking point, a chef under constant pressure: all can rediscover lasting serenity through a gentle, natural approach that respects their rhythm.

Stress is not inevitable. It can become an opportunity for transformation, provided it is listened to, understood, then properly supported.

For information purposes, here is the list of professions recognised as the most stressful:

1st place: Hospitality and Catering This sector tops the list with a professional stress score of 80.5/100. Hospitality and catering professions are particularly stressful due to work intensity, unsocial hours, and constant management of client expectations, creating relentless pressure.

2nd: Transport Transport professionals face stress related to long working hours, safety responsibilities, and accident risks. Professionals in this sector achieve a stress score of 62.3/100.

3rd: Public Administration Public administration, whilst often perceived as more stable, involves managing complex administrative tasks under strict deadlines, which can generate stress. This field presents a stress score of 58.4/100.

4th: Property Services With a stress score of 57.1/100, property services combine the pressure of negotiations and sales targets, all with often long hours.

5th: Healthcare Healthcare professionals, confronted with irregular hours, life-or-death situations, and high emotional demands, endure constant stress. Healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, have a stress score of 54.5/100.

6th: Commerce Commercial professions are stressful due to pressure related to sales targets, client relationships, and competition management.

7th: Communication and Information Communication and information professionals must juggle tight deadlines, high creative demands, and management of sensitive or urgent information, generating considerable stress.

8th: Construction In construction, workers are often subjected to strict delivery deadlines, complex project management, and site safety, which can be highly stressful.

9th: Education Teachers, whilst passionate about their profession, face challenges related to classroom management, parental and administrative expectations, as well as often significant workload outside teaching hours.

10th: Financial Services Finally, financial services professions involve stress management related to market fluctuations, performance pressure, and heavy responsibilities towards clients and financial regulations.
